The study of another language can also enhance literacy in a student’s first language, and build useful cognitive and social skills that are beneficial in all areas of school and later life. Of course, learning another language is also FUN, and opens possibilities for overseas travel, participation in exchange programs, and world-wide communication via the internet.
The VET courses on offer here at Mandurah Senior College give the students the chance to gain accreditation in a nationally recognized certificate at either Cert II, or the more advanced Cert III level. They are situation-based courses which allow students to build real-life language skills useful for either business or travel needs.
